This research focuses on a legacy of the past, the mass housing of the Tunisian post-war reconstruction. This latter could be considered as a transposition of Athens Charters recommendations and Modern Movement doctrines with a respectful design attitude to the place climatic specifications. A survey has been conducted among the residents of the neighbourhood El Menzah in Tunis about their living way there with a focus on the ambiances. The first results reveal that the place atmosphere can enhance its reading, and generates, on the one hand, a place attachment to its old inhabitants and an attraction for the new ones, on the other.
