This paper explores the spatial practice of the cartography of ambiance as a means to parametrically generate ambiances that enable ‘wayfounding’, i.e. the ability to ‘keep your bearings’ in contemporary hypermobile environments. It presents an experimental process led by the author at architecture schools in France and in Japan.
