Coffee is both a place of atmosphere and a socially marked space. Address this object of study through a process of type ethno-geographic permit to understand the urban question of original and sensitive way. The work of observation and immersion in Volos (Greece, Thessaly), specifically maritime façade, allows to show how much coffees and catering establishments reveal social geography, and how much method by the atmosphere has its place in the way to analyse the State of a territory ‘scientifically’.
